• Skinrocks – the cream cleanser

I’ve just cut this tube of the Skinrocks cream cleanser open last night so that I can get to the last dregs of this gorgeous cleanser. This is always a testament to how much I love a product.

I chose the fragrance-free version because I didn’t want the fragrance to potentially skew my test regarding irritation. I’m pleased to say this formula worked well for my reactive skin; the only time I felt a bit of tingling was around my nose when I had blown it a lot. It is packed with skin loving ingredients (jojoba oil, squalane, propanediol, glycerin, amino acids).

This is a gentle cream cleanser that still provides a sensorial experience despite the lack of fragrance. The unctuous creamy texture is such a pleasure to use. I can do a full face massage and it provides the perfect slip for it (after a 5-minute massage, I’ve noticed that the texture changes to a beautiful thin oil).

When I rinse it off, my skin is extremely supple and soft. It conditions the skin without leaving a residue that usually leaves my skin congested overtime. It joins my two other favorite cream cleansers – Jordan Samuel skin matinee cream and Biologique recherche Lait U- in that regard.

The only criticism I have is that the tube is too small and actually I’m not the only one pointing that out. Caroline Hirons said that supersizes are coming this year which I’m exited for.

Now that I know that the formula agrees with my skin, I’ll try the fragrance version next. It’s an expensive cleanser at 32£ but it’s worth it for me and Space NK regularly have sales, so that’s when I buy it.
