• Breakfast bowls

I sometimes struggle to find meal ideas for breakfast, especially since I departed from my teenage years typical cereal bowls. Nowadays, I tend to alternate between smoothies, nut butter on toasts, and of course, breakfast bowls

I wanted to share with you some of my breakfast bowl “recipes” (actually, it’s not really something that you cook/bake but rather an association of different food). I don’t eat breakfast bowls every day but when I do, it feels like a treat. To make them, you can chose whatever ingredients you want. My usual main components are a mix of granola, coconut yogurt and fruits.

I make my own granola. I usually use what I have in my cupboards at the moment (oats, various nuts, seeds and sometimes mini chocolate chips). Rachel from Bakerita‘s blog has a tasty granola recipe.

Then, you can play around with fruits and alternate between different kinds according to your taste. Plus, eating a variety of fruits will provide you with different important vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients. Also, it makes it less boring than having the same bowl every single time. I like raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, kiwis, tangerines, bananas…

And then, you have the toppings, my favorite part! I like to add grated coconut, almond butter, chia seeds, cashews… Sometimes, I even use leftover homemade sweet treats such as mini nuts bars. It’s delicious!
