• Red lips + Sculpted face

A quick one for makeup inspiration: a bold lip with a sculpted face! And a little ode to this Tom Ford lipstick…

I posted this makeup look on Instagram recently and thought I would share the details of the makeup products I’ve used here. For this look, I like the base to be as light and natural as possible to offset the bold lip.

    • Base

I applied my trusty combo of Bareminerals’ Bareskin complete coverage serum concealer (in light) and Jane Iredale’s PurePressed Base mineral powder (in warm silk). To warm up my complexion, I used the RMS beauty Buriti bronzer.

I lightly contoured my face with the Nyx powder blush in the shade taupe (I just realized that it has been reformulated and is now called the high definition blush). I like it because it has the right cool undertone that mimics a natural shadow.

For actual color on the cheeks, I chose the Tarte Amazonian clay blush in exposed. This muted pink shade has just enough color to give a healthy glow without clashing with the red lips. I finished with my favorite cream highlighter, the RMS beauty master mixer.

    • Eyes

I just wanted to subtly define my eyes. For that, I’ve accentuated my crease with the Burberry face contour pen in medium which I then layered with the taupe blush from NYX. Next, I used a square brush to push a mix of brown and black powder eyeshadows (faint and crave from the Urban Decay Naked basics palette) into my lash line to define it. I finished with a beige pencil (the Chella highlighter crayon which is hard to find but any beige pencil will do) on my waterline and my Catrice glam & doll volume waterproof mascara.

    • Brows

I used my go-to brow gel, the Maybelline brow drama gel mascara (in dark brown).

    • Lips

I lined my lips with the now discontinued Sephora nano lip liner (in real red) and applied my Tom Ford lipstick (in true coral) over the top. This lipstick has a wonderful creamy texture that grips the lips and I love this bright coral-red shade. Plus, look at that packaging!!

I love this lipstick. It’s been my go-to for the last weddings and christenings I’ve been to!
