If you've seen my stories, you know that a new product I was testing broke me out badly. So I'm going to go back to a simple routine with products I know and love until my skin clears up. Acids & retinol l Skin update _ I haven't talked much about acids lately and that's because I've realized that my skin can't take both strong acids and retinol at the same time. Now, I was being cautious alternating them, slowly increasing the frequency of use (using the retinol 3 times a week and the acid toner 2 times a week in the end). Still, it was too stimulating for my skin and caused irritation and redness. Using each active separately was fine though and brought the best results. _ At the moment, I'm focusing on building my retinol tolerance, so I've put my acids aside. I might do an exfoliating mask from time to time but it's not part of my weekly routine. _ I still hope to be able to build my skin's resistance to integrate both of these wonderful ingredients in my routine. I'm just going to have to do it slowly. . 🇫🇷 Acides & rétinol _ Je ne vous ai pas beaucoup parlé d'acides depuis un moment et c'est parce que je me suis rendue compte que ma peau ne supporte pas l'utilisation d'acide et de rétinol en même temps. Bien sûr, j'étais prudente et j'alternais ces deux actifs en augmentant progressivement la fréquence d'utilisation (rétinol 3 /semaine et acide 2/semaine). C'était quand même trop stimulant pour ma peau et cela causait des irritations et rougeurs. Par contre, je n'ai pas de problèmes à utiliser ces deux actifs séparément et j'en tire d'ailleurs les meilleurs résultats. _ En ce moment, j'essaie d'augmenter ma tolérance au rétinol et j'ai donc mis les acides de côté. Il m'arrive de faire un masque exfoliant de temps en temps mais ça ne fait pas partie de ma routine hebdomadaire. _ J'espère quand même pouvoir renforcer ma peau à terme pour pouvoir intégrer ces deux super ingrédients dans ma routine. #skincareempties : @andalounaturals apricot probiotic cleansing milk – it was my first proper milk cleanser and I must say I loved it and will repurchase it. It cleanses the skin gently, leaving it soft, supple and comfortable (full review coming). . @laboratoires_biarritz face & body sunscreen spray spf 30 – despite the packaging issues (see previous review), I really like the product itself and will repurchase it. . @honuaskincare malu protecting day cream spf 30 – a very nice hybrid between a moisturizer/spf that doesn't irritate my skin (full review coming soon). I might repurchase it in the winter as it is very hydrating and nourishing but I won't be able to afford it regularly. . @renskincare glycol lactic radiance renewal mask – I'm usually not a fan of glycolic acid but in this mask form, used from time to time, I've enjoyed the benefits of this acid without the irritation. It smoothes the skin texture nicely and plumps the skin. . . 🇫🇷 Produits terminés : @andalounaturals lait nettoyant – ça a été mon premier lait nettoyant, je l'ai adoré et vais le racheter. Il nettoie la peau en douceur et la laisse douce, souple et confortable (revue complète à venir). @laboratoires_biarritz spray solaire spf 30 visage & corps – en dépit des problèmes de packaging (voir ma dernière revue), j'aime le produit et je compte le racheter. @honuaskincare malu crème protectrice de jour spf 30 – un très bon produit hybride entre crème hydratante et protection solaire qui n'a pas irrité ma peau (la revue complète arrive bientôt). Je le rachèterai peut-être en hiver parce qu'il est très hydratant et nourrissant mais je ne pourrais pas l'acheter régulièrement vu son prix. @renskincare glycol lactic masque éclat peau neuve – bien que je ne sois généralement pas fan de l'acide glycolique, sous cette forme de masque utilisé de temps en temps, j'ai pu profiter des avantages de cet acide sans les inconvénients (irritation). @drroebucks no worries moisturizer _ I've almost finished my Weleda skin food light (it's great; I will review it soon) and so I'm now trying this new moisturizer. _ It has an interesting texture that I like. It sits between a lotion and a cream. When you begin to massage it into the skin, it feels really emollient and a little bit goes a long way. I find it moisturizing without being greasy. _ I'm not a fan of the strong lavender scent however. Plus, it seems to irritate my skin as I've noticed more redness on my face when I use it. I need to test it more to tell for sure. I'll keep you posted! . . 🇫🇷 @drroebucks crème hydratante no worries _ J'ai presque terminé mon tube skin food light de Weleda (très bonne crème; je vous en reparle bientôt) et je suis donc en train de tester ce nouveau produit. _ Elle a une texture intéressante qui me plait, entre la lotion et la crème. Lorsqu'on la masse sur la peau, on sent qu'elle est vraiment émolliente et une petite quantité suffit pour tout le visage. Je la trouve hydratante sans être grasse. _ Par contre, je ne suis pas fan de l'odeur forte de lavande. En plus, j'ai l'impression qu'elle irrite ma peau puisque j'ai plus de rougeurs lorsque je l'utilise. Il va falloir que je la teste plus pour en être sûre. It has the same great gel-to-oil texture as the original version without the added fragrance and exfoliating fruit acids. It's the perfect product to remove makeup easily, gently and thoroughly. 2- @andalounaturals apricot probiotic cleansing milk. It's a gorgeous pH balanced milk that cleanses the skin and softens it (see previous review). Il a la même texture géniale de gel en huile que la version originale mais sans le parfum et les acides de fruits exfoliants. l Quick & Easy Soft Smokey l You only need two products to recreate this soft #smokeyeyes look: an eye pencil and an eyeshadow! Here I've used the @avrilcosmetiques pencil in terre brûlée on my upper and lower lash lines and I've added the @rimmellondonuk eyeshadow in millionnaire on top of it to smoke it. Since you pat it on top of the liner, you don't need to be too precise when you first line your eyes which I love. That's it! . . 🇫🇷 l Smokey eye rapide l Vous n'avez besoin que de deux produits pour réaliser ce maquillage charboneux rapide, un crayon et un fard à paupières! Ici, j'ai utilisé le crayon en teinte terre brûlée de la marque @avrilcosmetiques sur ma ligne de cil supérieure et inférieure avant d'appliquer l'ombre à paupières millionnaire de @rimmellondonfrance par dessus pour flouter le tout. Comme on l'applique par dessus le crayon, on n'a pas besoin d'être précis en appliquant le liner. My favorite way to wear lipstick is to dab it on the lips to get a #lipstain effect. This works particularly well with pigmented lipstick such as the @lisaeldridgemakeup plush true velvet in velvet morning that I'm wearing here. The blurred effect makes the lips look fuller which I love. ❤ . . 🇫🇷 Ma façon favorite de porter du rouge à lèvres est de le tapoter sur les lèvres pour obtenir un effet encre à lèvres. Ça marche particulièrement bien avec les rouges pigmentés comme celui de Lisa Eldridge en teinte velvet morning que je porte ici. Bronzer & highlighter comparison _ I've realized that I always go for the same kind of textures and shades when I shop for makeup and so I end up owning similar products. I though it would be interesting to make a serie out of it and to photograph them side by side. It can be helpful if you're interested in buying these products. (It's also a way for me to justify my purchases by pointing out the differences between them… 😉). _ For this first comparison, I've chosen the @kosascosmetics color & light palette tropic equinox (swatched on top) and the @rmsbeauty buruti bronzer and master mixer. ▫️Similarities : green beauty, cream textures, blend easily into the skin, natural sheer finish. ▫️Differences: clearly the undertones, the kosas bronzer is warmer and orange-toned and for the highlighter it's the contrary because the master mixer is much warmer. Also, there's a slight texture difference because the kosas is much more creamy and better suited for normal to dry skin. _ I love all of these and use them regularly because I like to use different undertones depending on the rest of my makeup. . . 🇫🇷 Comparaison de bronzers et enlumineurs _ J'ai réalisé que je choisissais toujours les mêmes types de textures et de teintes lorsque j'achète du maquillage et je finis donc par avoir des produits similaires. J'ai pensé que ça pourrait être intéressant d'en faire une série en photographiant les produits côte à côte. Ça peut vous aider si vous voulez les acheter et que vous hésitez entre ces produits. (C'est aussi un moyen pour moi de justifier mes achats en montrant les différences entre eux…😉). _ Ici j'ai choisi la palette tropic equinox de Kosas et le buruti bronzer et le master mixer de RMS beauty. ▫️Similarités : produits naturels, texture crème, se fondent dans la peau, fini naturel transparent. ▫️Différences : clairement les sous-tons, le bronzer Kosas est plus chaud avec une teinte orangée et pour les enlumineurs c'est l'inverse puisque le master mixer est plus chaud. Il y a aussi une légère différence au niveau des textures puisque celles de Kosas sont plus crémeuses et donc plus adaptées pour les peaux normales à sèches. Suite en commentaires 👇

I haven't stopped using the @kjaerweis cream eyeshadow in alluring that @bazar_bio kindly gifted me these last weeks! _ Last time, I did a quick look using my fingers to blend it on the lids. Here, I've used a flat brush to apply it and it did make a difference in the finish of the shadow. As you can see, the golden shimmers stand out more with this technique which I love. This is a good eyeshadow for everyday use! _ Other products used : @avrilcosmetiques eye pencil (terre brûlée) on the lash line, @rimmellondonuk eyeshadow (millionnaire) in the crease, @pacificabeauty magical multi-pencil (bare) on the waterline and the @iliabeauty limitless mascara. . . 🇫🇷 Je n'ai pas arrêté d'utiliser le fard à paupières crème @kjaerweis en teinte alluring que @bazar_bio m'a gentiment offert ces dernières semaines! _ La dernière fois, j'ai fait un maquillage rapide en utilisant mes doigts pour l'estomper. Ici, j'ai utilisé un pinceau plat pour l'appliquer et je trouve que ça fait une différence au niveau du fini du fard. Comme vous le voyez, les nacres dorées ressortent beaucoup plus avec cette technique, ce qui me plait beaucoup. As some of you saw in my stories a few days ago, I tried to follow @violette_fr 's black eyes tutorial using the @kikomilano long lasting stick eyeshadow in black. _ I love this range of stick eyeshadows (I've actually reviewed them a few years ago on the blog ; I'll put the link to the article in my bio). I think the black was the only shade I didn't own! I'm glad I bought it as it's such a classic color. _ The final look wasn't as effortless and cool as Violette's (you can see that it was a bit messy in the close-ups) but I enjoyed doing a completely different makeup from my usual natural look. 😀 _ Other products used : @iliabeauty limitless mascara + @rmsbeauty Lip2cheek (spell) + @kosascosmetics lipstick (stardust) . . 🇫🇷 Comme certains d'entre-vous ont pu le voir dans mes stories il y a quelques jours, j'ai essayé de suivre le dernier tutoriel de @violette_fr en utilisant le stick longue tenue noir de @kikomilano . _ J'aime beaucoup cette gamme de sticks dont j'ai d'ailleurs fait la revue il y a quelques années sur mon blog (je vous mets le lien de l'article dans mon profil). Je pense que la teinte noire était la seule que je n'avais pas! My tub of @egyptianmagic cream doesn't look this pristine now as I've made a good dent into it! That's because it's an amazing multi-purpose balm that I use on my lips, cuticules, body and even my face sometimes to nourish and heal the dry areas. It's a staple especially for the coming colder months. . . 🇫🇷 Mon pot de crème @egyptianmagicfrance n'a plus cette tête puisque je l'ai déjà bien entamé!
